I had this smoothie a few months ago and I've been thinking about it ever since. This blueberry, almond, ginger smoothie is so unexpectedly delicious! If you haven't had ginger in a smoothie then you definitely should give this a try! Ginger is quite potent - so a little goes a long way. In medicinal practices, ginger is used to soothe stomach aches and has often been called "the sickness-fighter" with its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Whether you're sick or not, or looking for a new smoothie to try, this recipe will satisfy any smoothie-lovers' cravings. You can make just the smoothie, or pour it in a bowl and add toppings to make a smoothie bowl.
Add the almond milk, blueberries, spinach, banana, ginger, and ice to a high-power blender and blend until smooth. If the consistency is too thick or too thin, add some banana to thicken and water to thin.
To make a smoothie bowl, pour the smoothie into a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings. Today, I had raspberries, blueberries, pistachios, and coconut flakes. You can add whatever you like! Enjoy and make sure to have fun!
